🌍 World Clock App — Help & User Guide
Overview
The World Clock app lets you view the current time in any city or timezone worldwide. You can add, remove, and manage multiple clocks, switch between light/dark mode, and choose your preferred time format (12-hour or 24-hour). All your settings are saved automatically.
Getting Started
Open the App: Launch the world_clock_all_timezones.html file in your web browser.
Add a Clock: Use the search box to find a city, country, or timezone (e.g., “London”, “America”, “Sydney”). Select a timezone from the dropdown and click Add Clock. The clock will appear below.
Remove a Clock: Click the × button on any clock card to remove it.
Clear All Clocks: Click Clear All to remove all clocks at once.
Features
All Timezones: Instantly search and add from 400+ IANA timezones.
Search & Filter: Type in the search box to filter the timezone list. You can search by city, region, or country.
Time Format Toggle: Click the 12H/24H button (top right) to switch between 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour (military) time. Your preference is saved.
Dark/Light Mode: Click the moon/sun icon (top right) to toggle between dark and light themes. Your choice is remembered.
Day Indicator: Each clock shows if it’s “Today”, “Tomorrow”, or “Yesterday” in that timezone, relative to your local time.
Persistent Storage: All your clocks and settings are saved automatically in your browser. They’ll be there next time you open the app.
Responsive Design: The app works great on desktops, tablets, and phones.
Tips & Tricks
Quick Search: Try searching for “Tokyo”, “GMT”, “Pacific”, or “India” to see how the filter works.
Timezone Counter: See how many timezones match your search in real time.
Performance: The app pauses updates when your browser tab is hidden to save resources.
Fallback: If your browser doesn’t support the full timezone list, a basic set of major cities is provided.
Troubleshooting
Timezone Not Found: Try searching with different keywords (e.g., “New York” or “America/New_York”).
Clocks Not Updating: Make sure your browser tab is active. The app pauses updates when hidden.
Settings Not Saved: Ensure your browser allows local storage (most do by default).
FAQ
Can I add the same timezone twice? No, each timezone can only be added once.
How do I reset the app? Use the Clear All button to remove all clocks.
Will my clocks be there next time? Yes! All clocks and settings are saved in your browser.
